- dismantling unhelpful structures
- creating and maintaining supportive structures
- carrying out dialogues on the topic of responsibility
My approach is grounded in systemic principles, meaning I assume that everything and everyone influences one another. Unlike linear thinking, a systemic perspective opens up more options for action for both the organization and the individuals involved, creating a broader solution space for addressing problems and conflicts.
I particularly enjoy working co-creatively with leaders and managing directors/CEOs. We often start with my ideas and systemic analyses, which we then develop further together - building on them, adapting them, and thinking them through collaboratively. In my experience, this collegial and iterative way of developing organizations - complex social systems that cannot be predicted in a linear way - is the most promising.
In my work - especially in workshops that I facilitate - it is important to me to create a safe space for everyone involved, so that each person has the opportunity to voice their perspective, needs, and disappointments.
I am analytical, communicate clearly, act thoughtfully, and welcome unfamiliar situations. I treat people with appreciation and great curiosity.
As a graduate electrical engineer (master's degree), I initially dedicated myself to complex technical challenges. It was only later in my professional life that I discovered my fascination for people and their complex interactions.
Over time, my professional focus shifted from technical project management to product management and ultimately to organizational consulting.
Twenty years of professional experience as an employee, project manager, product manager, and leader in mid-sized companies and large corporations have had a lasting impact on me. This has given me insight into both the perspective of employees within an organization and that of leaders. I have experienced firsthand what change situations can mean emotionally for those affected, as well as how challenging it can be for leaders to bring others along through change.
Transformation towards agile working
By now, I have successfully supported several organizations through transformations toward agile ways of working. These changes led to interdisciplinary collaboration and thus the breaking down of silos, greater ownership within teams, and more initiative among individuals.
For another organization, I trained a total of 20 agile coaches across two cohorts. They are now able to carry out an agile transformation for several departments within their company independently.
Transformation towards modern leadership
I devote a large part of my work to the transformation toward a modern leadership culture. I support many organizations on this journey by delivering leadership training with a focus on self-leadership and the delegation of responsibility.
Higher customer satisfaction
In some of my engagements, the change effort focused on stronger customer centricity. By introducing and applying methods such as Design Thinking or using the Value Proposition Canvas, the teams I supported were able to adopt the customer’s perspective and place it at the center of their work.
Better communication within a team
With a focus on better collaboration, I have worked with some clients on concepts for improved team communication. Examples included working with and training feedback, Nonviolent Communication (NVC by Marshall B. Rosenberg), and Active Listening (Carl R. Rogers).
Discover own scope for action
My work also regularly includes one-to-one coaching for both leaders and specialists. Individuals often need additional support during change processes. Naturally, the focus of each coaching engagement is highly individual. Frequently, I work with coachees on topics such as identifying beliefs that no longer serve them, enabling perspective shifts, and directing attention to available resources. The goal of the coaching is above all to help them discover their own room for maneuver and options for action.
My professional life has been shaped by international experience. I have lived and worked abroad and have also collaborated with colleagues from other countries on numerous international projects. Even today, I conduct many of my consulting and training activities in English in an international environment.
I regularly take part in education and professional development programs that provide new impulses for my work with organizations, teams, and individuals.
